The goal of the Alpinestars Supertech helmet family was to create the most advanced, protective and performance-enhancing helmets possible for racers around the world. With the S-M10, Alpinestars’ Helmet Development team designed the helmet to offer the perfect combination of excellent ventilation and unsurpassed comfort to create the lightest possible helmet, all without compromising on any other front. The S-M10’s design offers a sleek, aerodynamic and streamlined profile that is free of external elements and channels that could act as load points in the event of an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet’s construction. The surface curvature promotes reduced friction on impact, allowing deflection and highly efficient energy transfer to protect the rider’s head from direct force to the skull and related to the neck and spine.
Technical Data Sheet:

  • The S-M10 shell sizing solution ensures that each helmet size has its own appropriate shell measurement to offer the most anatomical solution possible for the wide variety of fit needs around the world; 4 different helmet shell sizes S, M, L and XL and 6 consumer sizes from XS to XXL are offered to ensure riders get the correct fit that not only improves comfort and reduces overall weight but most importantly improves the effectiveness of the helmet in the event of an impact.
  • The patented A-Head Mounting System allows for easy adjustment of the angle and height at which the helmet sits on the head.
  • Ultra-ventilated helmet with 28 individual intake and exhaust ports, excluding the eye port, with 18 intakes and 10 exhausts, for optimal ventilation.
  • The helmet shell construction uses highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination: 1) 3K Carbon, a high density carbon outer layer that improves strength and energy dissipation efficiency on the shell, 2) Unidirectional carbon composite layer that gives considerably greater radial strength around the shell, preventing compression but allowing controlled deflection to reduce transmitted impact energy and 3) Aramid fiber layer that provides critical protection against penetration. This combination of layers allows for even greater performance, with an epoxy resin bond offering the best possible strength and energy management; limited deflection of the outer shell means that energy is spread out more widely and better absorbed by the 4-density EPS liner.
  • New redesigned chin guard profile, with the base area specially sculpted to obtain a raised, raised section to free the collarbone, with a new softer EPS liner that extends beyond the helmet shell itself and is covered by a more flexible rubber compound, designed to provide a reduced possibility of any type of injury to the collarbone.
  • ECE lightness 1260g for a medium size, 1310g with side pads and 1370g with visor extension.
  • The result of the unique shell lay-up process employed in the S-M10 construction results in highly effective impact protection. The S-M10 delivers linear and oblique impact performance that exceeds current helmet standard fit limits. For direct linear impacts, i.e. a 90-degree impact between the helmet and an object, the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 standard for 2024 by an average of 46% for regular velocity impacts. New for ECE 22.06; the new requirements now include low velocity and high velocity linear impacts where the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 Peak Linear Acceleration standards by 23% and 28% respectively.
  • Additionally, for rotational acceleration and oblique impact performance, where the impact energy comes from an angle other than a 90-degree linear or right-angle straight impact, the S-M10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 Peak Rotational Acceleration standard by 76%.
  • MIPS Multi-directional Impact Protection System.
  • Removable side pads made from a semi-soft polymer for added protection provide a larger contact area to help spread impact energy.
  • ERS emergency visor release and a new visor extension to provide protection from debris and sun.
  • The new ejection technology includes the ejection helmet removal system.
