The Racing Absolute v2 is a high-level professional racing suit that incorporates all the same advanced, lightweight materials and technologies that the fastest MotoGP and WorldSBK riders wear on track. In addition to its full K-leather construction, with double K-leather in the most abrasion-prone areas such as the elbows, forearms, seat, sides and back, the Racing Absolute v2 also features Aramid Fiber reinforced stretch panels in the crotch, inner arms and underarms. The bonded Aramid Fiber grid provides increased cut, tear and abrasion resistance, as well as significantly reducing the heat transfer to the rider’s body generated by friction during a slide on the tarmac.
Another important technological innovation featured in the Racing Absolute v2 is the use of Alpinestars Composite Stretch technology, A-CS®Tech. Incorporated throughout the suit, A-CS®Tech is found on the hips, shoulder blades and upper knee areas, replacing the original accordion leather panels. The A-CS®Tech material offers improved breathability, comfort and freedom of movement, as well as a lower weight and lower profile than accordion leather (A-CS®Tech panels are approximately 9% lighter than leather panels). Additionally, the suit features accordion leather panels on the lower back and in key flex zones of the suit. With good elasticity, A-CS®Tech has approximately 30% elongation and offers a 248% increase in tear resistance over standard racing elastic fiber and a 570% increase in tear resistance over leather. The technologically advanced Racing Absolute v2 suit offers performance comparable to kangaroo leather, with even better results in impact abrasion tests. The use of A-CS®Tech represents a significant advancement and improvement in performance protection materials.
The Racing Absolute v2 also incorporates Matryx® material in the lower leg for further weight reduction and increased breathability. Featuring on the inner arms, crotch, back of the legs, collar and chest areas, the suit has Aramid Fiber reinforced stretch panels that offer high elasticity for freedom of movement and an increased level of protection. The Racing Absolute v2 construction features schoeller®-keprotec seam reinforcements on the elbows and knees, external GP DFS sliders on the shoulders, knees and elbows, the latest GP-R PRO CE Level 2 protectors on the shoulders, elbows, forearms and knees, and Bioflex CE Level 1 hip protectors in the racing version.
